Abdul Salim was born in Delhi in 1934. His family migrated to Pakistan in 1947. Abdul Salim got education in art in 1951 from The Mayo School of Arts, Lahore. He was one of the four young artists who were selected by the renowned artist Sheikh Ahmad to carry out the illustration work for a well-reputed American publishing firm, Silver Burdett Company. The firm was entrusted the responsibility to bring out history books for the educational institutions of Karachi. Before establishing his own publicity firm by the name Balance Publicity, Abdul Salim had the opportunity to exhibit his great talent in various advertising agencies of repute. Abdul Salim has vast experience in the field of art and publicity. Presently he is managing publicity work in Lahore along with his talented sons. Abdul Salim excels in digital painting of which he happened to be the pioneer in Pakistan.
